# Intuit QuickBooks

> Intuit's QuickBooks skills: plain-language business health briefings, industry benchmarks, invoice reminders, estimates and payroll help.

Intuit's own QuickBooks plugin for Claude. Its skills turn your QuickBooks Online data into plain-language business insights and take care of everyday jobs: chasing overdue invoices, turning an email into an estimate or invoice, and payroll. It works through the QuickBooks connector on your Claude account.

What its skills do
- Business health check: a CFO-style briefing across your Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, A/R Aging and Sales reports, covering what's going well, what needs attention and what changed
- Industry benchmark: compare your business with regional and national peers in your industry
- Payroll cost: explain why payroll spend changed, who was paid the most and what's driving it, with ideas to keep it in check
- Overdue invoices: send payment reminders whose tone matches how late each invoice is
- Email to estimate or invoice: turn a customer email thread into a QuickBooks estimate or invoice, ready to send
- Payroll: answer questions about employees, payroll runs, payslips, pay types, deductions and time off; onboard a new hire; view or change someone's base pay, pay frequency or hours
- Lending: explain QuickBooks Capital options (Term Loan, Line of Credit, Business Credit Card and the Loan Marketplace), help you compare them and estimate payments
- Setup: walks you through connecting QuickBooks and fixing the connection

How it connects
The plugin adds skills only. The QuickBooks tools come from the QuickBooks connector: in Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, connect QuickBooks and sign in with the Intuit account for your QuickBooks company. In Claude Code, sign in with your claude.ai account (/login) so the connector is there in your sessions. Intuit says the connector is available to US customers for now.

Good to know
- The health check, benchmark, payroll cost, payroll lookup and lending skills only read your data.
- Skills that send reminders, create estimates or invoices, or change payroll always ask you to confirm before writing anything.
- Lending help is guidance only: it never makes payments, draws or loan changes.
- Its answers are an operational read of your QuickBooks data, not tax, legal, investment or lending advice.
