# IFTTT MCP

> Lets your agent build and manage IFTTT Applets, and run actions and queries across the services you've connected to IFTTT.

IFTTT's own hosted MCP server. Your agent can search IFTTT's service catalog, turn a plain-language description into a live Applet, manage the Applets you already have, and run one-off actions and queries, such as sending a Slack message or reading sensor data, across services like Gmail, Google Sheets, Slack, Philips Hue and Webhooks.

What you can do with it
- Search IFTTT's services and browse their triggers, queries and actions
- Create Applets ("when X happens, do Y"), then edit, enable, disable or remove them
- Look up your existing Applets, or find published ones that fit what you want to do
- Run an action right away, such as a notification or a new spreadsheet row, or run a query to fetch data
- Add Filter Code logic to an Applet by describing it in plain words (IFTTT Pro+)
- Turn place names into coordinates for location-based triggers

How it connects
IFTTT hosts it at https://ifttt.com/mcp over streamable HTTP. The first time your agent uses it, your browser opens IFTTT's sign-in page, and a free account is enough. Each service you automate (Gmail, Dropbox and so on) also needs its own connection on your IFTTT account; when one is missing, your agent gets a link for you to connect it. IFTTT documents setup for ChatGPT, Claude and more, and also publishes a plugin and skill that teach coding agents to build Applets.

Good to know
- New Applets go live as soon as they're created, and run_action does the thing for real (messages get sent, lights get switched), so check what your agent is about to do.
- Filter Code needs IFTTT Pro+; everything else works on every IFTTT plan.
- IFTTT's steps for ChatGPT and Claude call for a paid plan in those agents.
