# Freshdesk MCP by usefulapi

> Search, read, update and reply to Freshdesk tickets from your agent, through usefulapi's independent hosted server.

An independent hosted MCP server for Freshdesk, made by usefulapi, not by Freshworks. usefulapi is run by an independent developer in the Czech Republic and hosts MCP servers for many SaaS tools. This one calls the Freshdesk API with your own credentials, so your agent can find and read tickets, look up customers and, when you ask, create, update and reply to tickets.

What you can do with it
- Find open, urgent or unassigned tickets by status, priority, agent, group or tag
- Read a ticket with its public replies and internal notes, and sum up what happened so far
- Create a ticket for a customer, or change a ticket's status, priority and other fields
- Reply to a ticket (the reply is sent to the requester) or add a note, which is private by default
- Search, create and update contacts, and list or create companies
- List your support agents and the groups tickets are routed to

How it connects
usefulapi hosts it at https://freshdesk.usefulapi.io/mcp. Add only the address: the server signs you in with OAuth, and its login page asks for your Freshdesk domain and your Freshdesk API key (in Freshdesk, under Profile settings). Don't put an Authorization header or an API key in your agent's config; usefulapi says some clients then send that header instead of the login token, and every call fails.

Good to know
- This is a third-party service: usefulapi keeps your Freshdesk API key, per user, and uses it to call the Freshdesk API on your behalf. Your Freshdesk plan and Freshworks' terms still apply.
- Read tools never change data, and the server tells your agent to ask you before anything that creates or changes it.
- The free plan covers 50 tool calls a month. More needs usefulapi's paid Pro plan, which covers this server only; the server's own tools show your usage and return a payment link.
