# Adobe Commerce App Management

> Adobe's skills for building Adobe Commerce apps with the aio-commerce-sdk: scaffold an app, then add events, webhooks, Admin UI and storage.

Adobe's own plugin for building Adobe Commerce apps on App Builder with the aio-commerce-sdk. Its skills keep to one concern each: your agent scaffolds a bare app first, then adds each piece the app needs, one at a time.

What its skills cover
- Scaffolding a new Commerce app: app.commerce.config.ts with its metadata, then the project files
- Events: subscribing to Commerce events, such as order placement or catalog changes, and to external ones, with field extraction and filter rules
- Webhooks that intercept Commerce operations to validate input, append data or change behavior, before or after they run
- Business configuration: merchant settings (text, password, email, URL, phone, yes or no, lists) that Commerce Admin shows as fields
- Admin UI extensions: grid columns, mass actions, order view buttons, a custom Admin menu entry and custom permissions
- App Builder Database Storage, with a runtime action that reads and writes documents
- API Mesh in front of the app: new sources, a new field on an existing Commerce GraphQL type, and the resolver behind it

How to install it
In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add adobe/skills, then /plugin install commerce-app-management@adobe-skills. The skills also install one at a time with npx skills add adobe/skills --skill commerce-app-init (and the same for the others), or with the Tessl CLI.

Good to know
- The skills need Node.js 22 or later, the aio CLI and @adobe/aio-commerce-lib-app.
- Database storage needs a provisioned workspace database and the App Builder Data Services API in the Adobe Developer Console. API Mesh needs the api-mesh CLI plugin.
- For Developer Console setup and deploys, commerce-app-init hands over to Adobe's appbuilder-project-init skill.
