# CoinPaprika

> Gives your agent CoinPaprika's crypto market data, with no key needed: prices, market caps, exchanges, markets, candles and coin details.

CoinPaprika's own hosted MCP server for its crypto market data. Your agent can look up prices, market caps and 24-hour changes, see where a coin trades, read project details and events, and find tokens by contract address, all without an API key.

What you can do with it
- Get the current price, market cap, volume and 24h change for a coin, or a snapshot of the top coins
- Check the overall market: total market cap, 24h volume and Bitcoin dominance
- See which exchanges list a coin and the markets it trades in, with per-market price and volume
- Look up exchanges, their trading pairs and their stats
- Read a coin's project description, team, links and upcoming events, and browse coins by tag
- Get today's and yesterday's OHLC candles, and price snapshots from the past
- Convert an amount between crypto and fiat currencies at the current rate
- Find a token's price by its contract address on chains such as Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain

How it connects
CoinPaprika hosts it at https://mcp.coinpaprika.com/streamable-http, with an SSE endpoint at /sse for older clients. There's no sign-in and no API key to start.

Good to know
- It only reads market data; it can't trade or move funds. Its one other tool, submitFeedback, sends a problem report to CoinPaprika's MCP team when you ask it to.
- On the hosted server's free tier, past price snapshots go back up to a year at daily intervals and 24 hours at hourly intervals. Older or finer history needs a paid CoinPaprika API plan.
- It returns market data, not investment or financial advice.
