About
CloudBase MCP is the MCP server for Tencent CloudBase, Tencent Cloud's all-in-one backend. Once it's connected, your agent can sign in to your CloudBase environment and work on its databases, cloud functions, storage, static hosting and logs from the conversation, so the backend gets built and deployed along with the code. What you can do with it - Sign in to CloudBase and pick the environment your agent works in - Query and change data in PostgreSQL and the document database, and manage collections, data models and permissions - Write, deploy, invoke and debug cloud functions and Cloud Run services - Set up login methods, upload files to cloud storage and publish static sites - Read logs to find what went wrong, then fix and redeploy - Start a new project from a CloudBase template (local mode) How it connects - Local: it runs on your machine with npx @cloudbase/cloudbase-mcp@latest and needs Node.js 18.15 or later. This mode includes local file uploads and template downloads. If your environment is on the international site, set TCB_SITE=intl so sign-in uses that site. - Hosted: add https://tcb-api.tencentcloud.com/mcp/v1 (international site) or https://tcb-api.cloud.tencent.com/mcp/v1 (China site). Your agent opens the browser for sign-in and you pick the environment there. For CI, or an agent without browser sign-in, add ?env_id=<your environment ID> to the address and send X-TencentCloud-SecretId and X-TencentCloud-SecretKey headers. Good to know - You need a CloudBase environment; new users can start for free. - The China and international sites use separate accounts, so use the address that matches where your environment lives. - The hosted server has no local file features, and on the international site it doesn't offer the document database tools yet. - Deleting a function, collection, file or service pauses for a confirmation that names what will be deleted, in agents that can show one. Tencent recommends reviewing each tool call before it runs.
