# Close MCP

> Work your Close CRM from your agent: search leads and activity, run reports, log notes and tasks, draft emails and update your pipeline.

Close MCP is Close's hosted MCP server for Close, the sales CRM. It lets your agent work in your Close organisation: find leads and contacts, look through calls, emails and meetings, answer reporting questions, and create or update leads, opportunities, notes, tasks and more, at the access level you choose.

What you can do with it
- Search leads and contacts in plain words, such as leads not contacted in the past week or leads with an active opportunity over $500
- Read activity: calls, emails and email threads, SMS, notes and Notetaker meeting transcripts
- Answer reporting questions, such as how many emails were sent this week or who made the most calls
- Create leads, contacts, opportunities, notes, tasks, smart views, pipelines, workflows and email or SMS templates
- Draft emails on a lead for you to review and send from Close; it never sends them itself
- With full access, update or delete records, merge duplicate leads and fill in fields with Close's AI field enrichment
- Ask how Close works: it searches Close's product docs and knowledge base

How it connects
- Close hosts it at https://mcp.close.com/mcp, over streamable HTTP (SSE isn't supported).
- Sign in with OAuth: when you connect, you pick the Close organisation and the access level. For a custom setup you can send a Close API key in a Close-API-Key header, with a Close-Scope header for the access level.
- Close documents setup for Claude (the Close connector, and Claude Code), ChatGPT (Close's official app), Cursor, VS Code and n8n, and it works with any client that supports streamable HTTP.

Three access levels
- mcp.read: read-only tools
- mcp.write_safe: read and write
- mcp.write_destructive: read, write and delete, including merging leads

Good to know
- You need a Close account, and your agent works only in the organisation you authorise.
- To work with more than one Close organisation, add one connection per organisation.
