# Clera

> Lets your agent hire through Clera: search vetted startup candidates, review Clera's picks, request intros and run your pipeline.

Clera's own MCP server. Clera is a hiring platform for venture-backed startups: candidates talk to Clera and opt in to hearing about roles, and companies request warm introductions instead of cold outreach. Connect your Clera company account and your agent covers the whole hiring loop: search the network, review the candidates Clera picked for you, request intros, manage roles and read your pipeline. Everything it does shows up in your Clera dashboard.

What you can do with it
- Search candidates who are open to opportunities, and find profiles similar to one you liked
- Review the candidates Clera picked for your roles and the ones who asked to meet you, then request an intro or pass with a reason
- Read a candidate's full profile: experience, education and skills
- Create and edit roles from a title, a job posting link or pasted text, and get a salary benchmark for a role
- See your hiring pipeline by stage, and schedule or move interviews
- Manage your company profile and hiring contacts, and see who on your team has access
- Job seekers can sign in with a candidate account instead to search roles, work through their matches, answer interview requests and manage their resumes

How it connects
Clera hosts it at https://mcp.getclera.com. You sign in with your Clera account through OAuth the first time your agent uses it, and the token refreshes on its own. Clera documents setup for Claude, ChatGPT (in Developer mode), Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Grok and Claude Desktop (through mcp-remote). Clera also ships a Claude Code plugin from its own getclera/mcp marketplace and a Gemini CLI extension, each bundling the server with Clera's hiring skill, which walks your agent through connecting, a first search and an intro.

Good to know
- The MCP server is free during the beta. Companies that hire through Clera pay a success fee; candidates pay nothing.
- What you can do follows your Clera account: viewers can read everything but can't request intros, pass on candidates or edit roles, and candidate search is switched on per company.
- Tools that change something, such as intros, passes and role edits, ask you first in Claude and ChatGPT.
- Profiles never include contact details, salary or visa status, and Clera sees only the arguments of the tools your agent calls, not the rest of your conversation.
