# ChangeNOW

> Quote, create and track crypto-to-crypto swaps on ChangeNOW from your agent, with no account, and confirm each one yourself.

ChangeNOW's hosted MCP server lets your agent swap one crypto asset for another on ChangeNOW, a non-custodial exchange. It finds the right asset and network, quotes the swap with the pair's limits and checks your recipient address. Then it either hands you a prefilled changenow.io link to review and confirm yourself or, once you've approved the exact amount and address, creates the order. You send the deposit, and ChangeNOW pays out to the address you gave.

Swaps move real money. Crypto sent to a wrong address or network can't be recovered, and a completed transfer can't be undone.

What you can do with it
- Find the assets ChangeNOW can exchange, and pin down which network you mean
- Quote a swap either way round: what you'd receive, or what you'd need to send
- See the pair's minimum and maximum, whether a fixed rate is offered, and who would carry out the order
- Check a recipient address, and its memo where the asset needs one, before any order exists
- Get a prefilled changenow.io link to check and confirm in your browser
- Create a swap order once you've approved it, then follow it to the end

How it connects
- Add https://mcp.changenow.io/mcp to your agent. It's a hosted server over Streamable HTTP.
- There's no sign-in: no ChangeNOW account, API key or login.
- Its reading tools (assets, quotes, address checks, links and order status) change nothing.

Real orders and real money
- create_swap makes a real order with a deposit address. It doesn't move funds itself, but the order is real: it can expire, and a fixed rate is locked to it. You then send exactly the quoted amount to that address before its deadline.
- ChangeNOW asks agents to get your explicit confirmation of the amount and address right before creating an order. When you haven't approved both, the server points your agent to the link instead.
- A fixed-rate quote holds for about two minutes. A floating rate is set when your deposit arrives, so it can move either way.
- Some pairs are carried out by a partner aggregator rather than ChangeNOW, and the server says which.
- The fee is included in the quoted rate.

KYC and limits
- ChangeNOW says a standard crypto-to-crypto swap needs no account and no KYC.
- AML and address screening still apply to every exchange. If ChangeNOW's risk system flags a swap, it's put on hold and you're asked to verify your identity (through SumSub) and where the funds came from. If you decline, the deposit is refunded to the address it came from, minus network fees.
- Swaps run by a partner, and card or bank purchases, follow those providers' own verification rules.
- Limits are set per pair and move with the rate, so the quote gives the current minimum and maximum. ChangeNOW doesn't guarantee a refund for a deposit below the minimum.
- ChangeNOW's Terms of Use list prohibited jurisdictions.
