# Canva MCP

> Lets your agent create, find, resize and export your Canva designs, and work with your folders and Brand Templates, from the chat.

Canva's own MCP server, which Canva calls its AI Connector. Connect your Canva account and your agent can generate new designs, find and read the ones you already have, and copy, resize, merge, import and export them without you leaving the chat.

What you can do with it
- Generate a design from a prompt, or create an editable design for a format such as an Instagram post or a LinkedIn graphic
- Search your designs by title or content, and get a design's details and shareable links
- Read a design's text and images, view its pages, and get a presentation's presenter notes
- Resize, copy and merge designs, and import PDFs, PowerPoint decks and other files from a URL as Canva designs
- Export designs in formats such as PDF, PNG and MP4
- Create folders, move designs into them and list what's inside
- View the comments on a design, such as unresolved feedback
- Search the Brand Templates shared with you, see which fields they take, and autofill them with your own data

How it connects
Canva hosts it at https://mcp.canva.com/mcp. The first time your agent uses it, you sign in to Canva and authorize the connection. Canva documents setup for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and more, and you can connect the same Canva account to several agents.

Good to know
It works with every Canva account, including Canva Free and Canva Education. Brand Templates need a paid Canva plan, and autofill isn't available on Canva Free. AI-powered actions such as generating designs may use your Canva AI credits. On a Canva team, an admin can turn the AI Connector on or off for everyone. The actions on offer can vary from agent to agent. It's separate from Canva's Dev MCP server, which is for building Canva apps.
