# BigQuery Expert

> A Claude Code plugin for BigQuery: write and convert SQL, catch costly anti-patterns, design partitioned tables and estimate query costs.

justvinhhere's BigQuery Expert, a Claude Code plugin with five skills, six slash commands and three agents for working in Google BigQuery. The skills switch on by themselves when you write a query, talk about partitioning or ask about costs. It's a community project, not a Google product.

What you can do with it
- Generate optimized BigQuery SQL from a plain-language description, or convert queries from PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Redshift or SQL Server
- Review SQL for 11 BigQuery anti-patterns, such as SELECT * on a single table, and get before-and-after rewrites
- Design tables with time-unit, integer-range or ingestion-time partitioning, clustering, nested and repeated fields, and the right data types
- Estimate what a query or table will cost, compare on-demand and editions pricing, and cut bytes billed with materialized views, caching and storage settings
- Get working examples of STRUCT, ARRAY and UNNEST, MERGE, scripting, JSON functions, BigQuery ML, search indexes and vector search
