# Apify MCP Server

> Apify's own MCP server: your agent finds and runs ready-made Apify Actors to scrape social media, search, maps and any website.

Apify's own MCP server, hosted at mcp.apify.com. Your agent can use any Actor in Apify Store (ready-made scrapers, crawlers and automation tools) as a tool, to pull data from social media, search engines, maps, e-commerce sites and any other website. It finds the right Actor, reads its input schema, runs it and then reads the results.

What you can do with it
- Search Apify Store and read an Actor's details, inputs, pricing and output schema
- Run Actors and read their results from datasets and key-value stores
- Search the web and fetch any page as Markdown with the built-in RAG Web Browser and Web Fetch Actors
- Check, list and abort Actor runs, and read their logs
- Create and update saved Actor tasks and schedules
- Search and read the Apify documentation

How it connects
Add https://mcp.apify.com to your MCP client. On first connection your browser opens so you can sign in to Apify and approve access; you can use an Apify API token in an Authorization: Bearer header instead. By default it loads Actor search and running, the docs and the two web Actors; add ?tools= to the address to pick other tools or specific Actors. The Apify CLI's apify mcp install command writes the setup for you, and for coding agents Apify also offers a plugin that sets up this server together with its Agent Skills.

Good to know
- Limited to search-actors, fetch-actor-details, search-apify-docs and fetch-apify-docs (through ?tools=), it works without an Apify account.
- Actor runs are billed to your Apify account; agents can also pay per run through Apify's agentic payments.
- For safety it leaves out full-permission Actors, which only you can approve.
- Apify collects anonymous tool-usage telemetry; add telemetry-enabled=false to the address to opt out.
