# AgentMail MCP

> Give your agent its own email inboxes to send, receive, reply to and search mail, schedule drafts and keep a calendar.

AgentMail's own hosted MCP server. AgentMail gives AI agents real email inboxes through an API, and this server lets your agent create and run those inboxes from the chat: send, reply, forward and search mail, work with drafts and attachments, keep an inbox's calendar, and create accounts for your agent at other apps with AgentID.

What you can do with it
- Create, find, update and delete inboxes
- Send, reply to and forward email, and list or full-text search messages and threads
- Write drafts and schedule them to send later
- Read attachments, with extracted text for PDF and DOCX files
- Keep an inbox's calendar: see the agenda, create or change events, send invites and answer invitations
- Manage each inbox's allow and block lists for sending, receiving and replying
- Create an account for your agent at an app such as Firecrawl with AgentID, and see which apps your inboxes have accounts at

How it connects
AgentMail hosts it at https://mcp.agentmail.to/mcp over Streamable HTTP. In Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code you sign in at console.agentmail.to the first time (OAuth), and pick an organization if you belong to more than one. Agents that can't do that sign-in can send an AgentMail API key in an x-api-key header instead; create one in the console under Settings, then API Keys. For agents that can't send headers, AgentMail publishes a stdio bridge (npx -y agentmail-mcp, or uvx agentmail-mcp for Python).

Good to know
- You need an AgentMail account. Sign up at console.agentmail.to before you connect.
- Agents that support MCP Events, such as ChatGPT, can act on new mail as it arrives instead of checking the inbox.
- AgentMail documents setup for ChatGPT, Claude and more, and its plugin for coding agents installs this server together with AgentMail's skills.
