# ActiveCampaign

> Lets your agent report on, plan and change your ActiveCampaign contacts, campaigns, automations and deals, previewing every change first.

ActiveCampaign's own plugin for its marketing automation, CRM and email marketing. It adds ActiveCampaign know-how, guided workflows and reports on top of ActiveCampaign's MCP server, so your agent can analyze your account, plan your marketing and make changes for you in plain conversation. Anything that changes your account is previewed for you to confirm first.

What you can do with it

- Draft a new email campaign from a prompt using your brand kit and images, rewrite or copy past campaigns, and change the subject line, preheader or sender
- Create and update contacts, tags, lists and custom fields, including bulk imports
- Build pipelines and stages, create and move deals, reassign owners and model custom objects
- Enroll contacts in automations or remove them, and manage the tags that trigger them
- Diagnose spam and bounce problems, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC guidance

How it connects
In Claude Code and Cowork, install the plugin, enter your ActiveCampaign MCP Server URL when asked (find it under Settings > Developer > MCP in your account; it looks like https://yoursubdomain.activehosted.com/api/agents/mcp/http), then sign in to ActiveCampaign. Agents that read the open Agent Plugins format use ActiveCampaign's shared address, https://mcp.app-us1.com/http, and ask you to sign in on first use. The plugin never asks for or stores an API key.

Good to know
- Every change goes read, preview, confirm, execute, verify, and your agent's own permission prompt is a second check.
- Campaigns land in your account as drafts: you send or schedule them, and build automations, in ActiveCampaign itself.
- Reports show the underlying records and counts, not roll-ups such as win rates or averages.
- The Deliverability Advisor can't read your DNS records directly.
- The six skills also work on their own in other agents that support Agent Skills, alongside the MCP server.
