# Antigravity

> Google’s agent-first development platform: a desktop app, a CLI and IDE extensions

Antigravity is Google's agent-first development platform. The Antigravity app is a desktop command center for running agents on your projects, alongside you or in the background, with scheduled tasks and artifacts you review. Antigravity CLI (`agy`) brings the same agents to your terminal, and extensions bring them into VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Visual Studio, Zed and Xcode. It runs Gemini models as well as Claude and GPT-OSS. It replaced Gemini CLI for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and free users.

What you can add
- MCP servers, local or hosted, from the MCP Store or in mcp_config.json: ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json for every project, or .agents/mcp_config.json in a workspace. Hosted servers use Streamable HTTP and can take headers such as an API key.
- Agent Skills: folders with a SKILL.md in ~/.gemini/config/skills (app and IDE), ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/skills (CLI), or a workspace's .agents/skills.
- Plugins in Antigravity's own format from its marketplace, bundling skills, MCP servers, rules, subagents and hooks. `agy plugin import gemini` converts Gemini CLI extensions.

How it connects
It runs on your computer, so it starts local servers itself and reaches hosted ones over the internet.
